On the 15th of June 2023 we went to the Water Shed in Kilkenny for our school tour. We departed Killurney N.S at 8.30 AM and arrived there at 9.10 AM.
We took part in lots of fun filled activities such as dodge ball. We then got separated into two different teams, and did best out of three to see who would win.
We also played a knock out game where there were 6 people on a bouncy castle, you then had to jump over a beam that rotated inside.
We played X and O’s outside with hula hoops and bean bags. To play the game you needed 6 people on a team. You then needed to run towards the hula hoops and drop your bean bag in. whoever got three in a row was the winner.
After that we went into the changing rooms to get into our spare clothes for the water slide. It was a huge waterslide that had a pool at the bottom. We all had great fun during this activity.
Later on, we went to another bouncy castle. There was a wrecking ball swinging over and back in it. You then had to swing the wrecking ball at other people to try knock them down.
We then did an activity where you attach yourself to a flexible rope. The aim of the game was to collect the most balls, which were stored in a container in the middle of the bouncy castle. We all got multiple attempts and really enjoyed this game.
Next, we played a game where everyone was assigned a colour. You then had to run in with a timer on, and whoever got the most scores won.
Finally, we went swimming. The pool had a really cool feature which allowed you to choose the depth of the pool. This worked as the floor was able to descend. We all just had a play in the pool for half an hour and then we were so disappointed that we had to leave.
As we were about to leave, we all decided to take a group photo, we all jumped in front of the Water Shed logo to show the amazing day that we had. Of course we had to shout “Up Tipp” as we were in Kilkenny!
