Welcome to Killurney National School.
Killurney National School is a mainstream, co-educational school located at the foot of Slievenamon, 15 minutes from the town of Clonmel.
We are a 3 teacher school, comprising of two mainstream class teachers and one based Special Education Teacher. We also have one full time SNA and a part time School Secretary who is with us every Tuesday and Thursday.
Here in Killurney, we strive to create a positive and inclusive learning environment which promotes the holistic development of all of our pupils. While we are committed to maintaining high standards in academic attainment within our school, we also place a huge emphasis on the emotional, moral, spiritual, physical, social and cultural development of each child.
As of April 2024, Killurney School is availing of the government`s free hot school lunches initiative for all of our pupils.
Our school motto is "Small School, Big Agenda".
We recognize the unique potential in every child and do our utmost to ensure the provision of a wide range of opportunities and experiences for our pupils, from sports and STEM, to the creative and performing arts.
