Our 1st and 2nd class pupils made their First Penance in Kilcash Church on Wednesday 2nd June.
All classes continued their block of GAA coaching with John Roche and Zumba lessons with Niall from Kool school. The children really enjoyed these lessons and had an opportunity to explore their dance moves!
Creative Schools: The children engaged in two more Creative art workshops with Muireann, our Creative Associate. They love working with Muireann as she digs deeper and deeper into their imaginations!
On Friday 18th June, we had our annual Sports Day. All classes were divided into teams and participated in a variety of races and activities. The children then went for a walk up to the woods and had a picnic. They also had to work with their team to construct a den. A great day was had by all!
On Monday 21st June, we said goodbye to Max, Katelyn and Billy. Our three 6th class pupils are very excited about starting the next chapter of their lives in secondary school. It was a pleasure to have them in Killurney N.S. for the past 8 years and I wish them the very best of luck next year! We had a graduation party for our 6th class and the ice cream van came to our school. It was also a very big day for Billy, Frankie and John-Joe who graduated from Ms Meagher's Junior Room!
On Wednesday 23rd June, we welcomed our new Junior Infant pupils to our school for an Open Morning. They were thrilled to be starting 'Big School' and didn't want to go home! Please God they will feel the same in September!!!
All children will finish school on Thursday 24th June at 12pm.
Well done to all of our boys and girls for their hard work and dedication this year! It hasn't been easy for you but you have all worked super hard!
Have a wonderful summer!
