Active Schools Week

In 2018, we took part in an Active Schools Week. To motivate the kids to get more active we set them a challenge of achieving 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

Motivation Monday

Taster Tuesday

Thank you to parents Ann Commins and Stanley O'Reilly for kindly volunteering to give the kids a taster tennis lesson. The weather may not have been on our side but the kids had a great time!

Walk On Wednesday

We loved scouting the environment around our school and venturing into the woods. Thank you to Mildred for allowing the children explore your garden and view your lovely plants. (Also thank you for saving us when the rain came!)

Try It Out Thursday

Thank you Johnny Cummins and Newtown for another great match. Well done to both the girls and boys on two very tough matches.

Feel Good Friday

The children had been practicing all week for their Skipathon! Well done to the Senior room for completing 20 minutes of skipping each, and the Junior room for completing 20 minutes all together. A huge congratulations to Lucy A for completing the most skips in the Senior room.

And a big well done to Jane for winning the title of Killurney's most active pupil, with Lily and Lucy S close runners up!
