Everyone returned to school on Tuesday 30th of
August.
We welcomed Ms. Meagher as our new
principal, Ms. Hogan as deputy principal and Mr.
Looram as our SET teacher.
We welcomed two new junior infants Harley and
Louise and Harry joined second class.
The Junior room went on a scavenger hunt up to
the woods, they looked for signs of Autumn and
collected samples for their nature table. The
pupils stopped off at Mildred’s for a treat on the
way back.
The Senior Room entered the Reel Life Science
Project and used the schools green screen to
create a STEM project about the Amazon
Rainforest Brazil.
On Friday the 23rd of September a coffee morning
was held in the local hall in aid of the Hospice.
Everyone donated generously.
On Wednesday the 28th of September our school
headed to Thurles Crokes Athletics Grounds for
the Tipperary Primary Schools Championships. In
the 3rd and 4th class girls race Judy O’ Donnell
came first. In the 5th and 6th class girls race Robyn
O’Reilly came first, Ellie O’Donnell came second,
Lucy Meagher came fifth and Catriona Tobin
came sixth thereby winning the team gold medal.
In the 5th and 6th class boys race Cathal O’ Sullivan
came first.
Well done to all the boys and girls who
participated!
