The month of November this year was a very exiting month.
First of all the whole school did gymnastics classes with Sharon Pyke. We all had an amazing time with Sharon and we hope she can come back again soon.
We were also very busy preparing for our Christmas show with Gillian. We learned three songs “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” and “The Glory Rap” and also Ellie O’ Donnell, Lucy Meagher, Caitriona Tobin, Robyn O’Reilly and Judy O’Donnell performed “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”. The Junior Room were also very busy preparing for their Nativity Show “Prickly Hay”.
The sixth class had a big decision to make deciding on what secondary school they wanted to go to. But now we have all decided where we are going to secondary school and are really happy with our decisions.
As you all probably know the Late Late Toy Show was on Friday 25th of November so the teachers decided to surprise us with a Late Late Toy Show quiz. The overall winner was Lucy Meagher’s team the “Christmas Cabbage’s”. We were all delighted with our surprise.
For science week we made chocolate bark. The experiment was that you need to use oil based food colouring so that it doesn’t rise to the top of your melted chocolate.
For science week in the Junior Room they did experiments investigating the effects of static electricity and magnetism.
The infants did Aistear with the theme “The Restaurant” or “Sa Bhialann”. They also did role play and made menu’s in English and Irish. All the Infants had a great time and learned lots of new things.

Congratulations to Lucy Meagher who has received an award from the Credit Union Art Competition.
