End of term Ceili With Carmel

22/4/2019

The brilliant Carmel Lawrence has been busy teaching our pupils Irish dancing over the last number of weeks, so we decided to enjoy a bit of ceol agus craic and host a Ceili at Killurney hall for pupils, staff and parents.

On the last day of term, our pupils showed off their Irish dancing skills and even managed to coax some of the parents on to the floor for the Walls of Limerick - the craic was mighty!

A huge thanks to Carmel for all her hard work with the children this year.

an taisce national spring clean

On the 11th April the school turned out in force for An Taisce National Spring Clean as part of the Tidy Schools incentive. We donned our high-viz vests and collected litter from the surrounding hedges and roadsides.

With Killurney school being in such a beautiful rural setting it is very important to us to maintain a litter-free and Nature-safe environment and to enforce the message that LITTERING IS NOT OKAY!

On Tuesday 2nd April the school took part in Autism Awareness day by wearing blue. We have raised €280 so far for our new Sensory Room - a fantastic achievement!

A huge thank you to everyone who made a donation to this fantastic cause.
